Training

Join us for Monster Dash 10-Mile and Half Marathon training!  This is free for people signed up for the race on October 29th, 2011. 

This year we will be doing two training sessions, one for your long run, and one for your taper run.  Both sessions will be done on the Monster Dash course in St. Paul.

Date: Saturday, October 22nd

Time:  Training run starts at 8:30 a.m., please be there by 8:20 a.m.

Location:  Meet in the grassy area next to the Cathedral of St. Paul.  If coming from I-94 from the west, exit on Kellogg. Turn right on John Ireland and right again on Marshall to park.  Download Map of Location Now

Parking:  Parking is available on the side streets.  Please read the street signs to ensure you are not parking in a permit-only or no parking location. Team Ortho is not responsible for parking tickets incurred during our training runs or races.

Training:  This will be a taper run.  We will do 6 miles for the Half Marathoners and 4 miles for the 10 Milers. **Please note there is no access to port-a-potties along this route.  Please plan accordingly.  We will have water at the start and finish.

Note: For everyone's safety and per the St. Paul Police Department, it is very important to obey all traffic postings and laws while running. Also be aware of other runners, walkers and cyclists around you and leave room for them as well.

RRCA-certified coach Emily Dancer, will be available to answer any training and/or race questions.
