Everything You Need to Know
Event Maps
The Monster Dash is located in two cities on Saturday morning, October 27th. Here are some maps to help you get around.
St. Paul
The Monster Dash Half Marathon and 10 Mile in St. Paul has one single start and two finish lines, plus a race village, shuttles and post-race party! Please review the following maps to familiarize yourself with the event on race day.
Key Locations in St. Paul (Start, Half Finish, Race Village, Post-Race Party and Parking)
Minneapolis
The 5K and 5K-9 are in a consolidated area at the Lake Harriet Band Shell in Minneapolis. While maneuvering the course is relatively easy, you may want to double check our parking recommendations to ensure you can get to the race quickly.
Shuttles
The folks who run the Monster Dash 10-Mile will have shuttles waiting for them near the finish line to bring them 3 miles to the Post-Race Party.
14 shuttle buses will be driving the 6-mile, round-trip loop along the Westbound lanes of Shepard Road to get runners to the post race action, their bags for their clothes and to parking.
Shuttle buses will be located at the intersection of Shepard Road and Elway, about 600 feet from the 10-Mile finish line. You will be dropped off near the Half Marathon Finish Line Chute at Washington. You can walk from this location to pick up your bags at bag drop.

Post-Race Party
Join us for our Monster Dash Post Race Party in St. Paul!
The festivities begin after the first finishers cross the line. Finnegan's will be pouring a free beer for everyone 21-years and older.
You can also use your free beer coupon at The Liffey which is just a few blocks up the hill (near the Xcel Energy Center) from the Half Marathon finish line.
Make sure you bring your photo ID to get your free beer!
On-Course Music
Get your ROCK on during Monster Dash where we will have bands and DJs all along the Half Marathon and 10 Mile course.
Then cap it off with a fabulous band at our Post Race Party in Upper Landing Park!
Pace Teams
We will have pacers for the Monster Dash 10 Mile and the Half Marathon on October 27th. Pacers are there to help you reach your running goals. They encourage, educate and even challenge you during a race. Both races can use pacers that are assigned to the times that best fit you.
Find out more about this year's Monster Dash Pace Team this fall when more details are posted on this webpage or at our packet pick-up on Friday, October 26th.
Parking & Transportation
St. Paul Parking for Half Marathon and 10-Mile
There are many parking ramps/lots available to racers near the finish or between the start and the finish. These are all paid lots.
It is about 1/2 mile walking distance between the start and the finish line.
There is absolutely no parking at the Cathedral of St. Paul. If you want to be dropped off near the start please go to our race village located on John Ireland Blvd, at Dayton and Marshall (see map here).
Half Marathoners can get picked up at the Half Marathon Finish/Post-Race Party located at Eagle Parkway and Shepard Road. 10 Milers can take the shuttle to Eagle and Shepard (Half Marathon Finish and Post-Race Party location) and get picked up there or the driver can do on-street parking near the 10 Mile finish at Elway and Shepard. (see map here)

Minneapolis Parking for Monster Dash 5K and 5K-9
Parking for the 5K and 5K-9 is on-street and free. But can be difficult to find the later you arrive to the race. We recommend parking on the west side of Lake Harriet since that is where the start and the finish are. Click here to see the Recommended 5K Parking Map
Timing & Scoring
The Monster Dash Half Marathon and 10-Mile will be timed using MTEC Results. You will pick your chip up at the Monster Dash Packet Pick-up. This chip must be worn on the day of the event until you cross the finish line. This is a disposable chip and will not need to be given back after the race.
MTEC Results Instructions:
- Keep the chip that was assigned to you at registration. Chips are non-transferable.
- Secure the chip through your shoe laces on your right shoe before starting the race.
- Wear the chip at all times during the race.
- You do not need to return the chip after the race…they are disposable
Race results will be available later on race day on our results page.
