One of the most fun parts of the Monster Dash races is the funny and creative costumes that runners come up with. Some run the 5K -- while others run and entire 10-Mile or Half Marathon all decked out in their Halloween costume! We invite you to do the same (with one tip, you might want to practice running in it before race day)!

10-Mile/Half Marathon: Judging will happen at Race Village near the St. Paul Cathedral. Winners will be posted at the post-race party area near the Finish line.
5K and 5K-9: Judging (before the race) and winner results (posted after the race starts) will all happen at the Lake Harriet Band Shell
What are the costume rules?
- Groups and pairs must come to the judging table together to be judged
- If you are a group or a pair, you must pick a team captain and a team name. We will use this name and the team captain’s race number for judging
- You must have a race number visible to be eligible for the contest and keep your race number on for winner announcements
- You must have been a registered participant and run/walk the race to be eligible for the costume contest
- You must pick up your awards at the judging stage, no awards will be mailed.
How will I be judged?
Judges will be looking for originality, execution, "wearability" and overall effect.
